Cannot Access The Shared Folder Due To Blank Password Not Allowed, Logon Hour Restrictions, Or A Policy Restriction Has Been Enforced

\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons are blank passwords not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy restriction has been enforced.
Sometimes you might have faced this issue while accessing a shared folder in a network (workstations) with limited amount of computers. So, basically this post over here is to demonstrate what can be done to solve this kind of issue.

Generally this kind of issues arises in small companies where there is no any IT staffs to monitor the total Windows security feature. All user login without PASSWORD which generally cause this kind of issues.

Even if you have set EVERYONE FULL ACCESS you might get difficulties in accessing the share folder and get the message from Windows as above.

This kind of issues on Windows can be solved with two methods

METHOD 1

1. Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy.

2. Go to Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options...

Search for "Accounts: Limit local account use of blank password to console logon only".

3. Put the dot mark on Disabled and click on APPLY.

METHOD 2

1. Go to Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
2. Click to Password protected sharing.
3. Select "Turn off password protected sharing" and click on APPLY.
